About Jimmy Ward
Jimmy Ward first picked up a guitar at the age of 10 and began taking lessons from his father Bill Ward. Jimmy played mainly Bluegrass flat-picking for the first few years of his musical life, learning the styles of guitar players like Tony Rice and Dan Crary. Jimmy also picked up the banjo and mandolin to round out his bluegrass instrumentation. Then, for better or worse, Jimmy picked up an electric guitar at the age of 15 and proceeded to sit in his room for hours learning the guitar parts to every rock and alternative album he owned.
