About Jimmy Thomas
Born in Osceola, Arkansas, United States in 1939, Jimmy Thomas joined Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm straight from school in 1958 over a year before they became The Ike and Tina Turner Revue. Thomas swiftly became a featured singer dancer and MC for the live Revue, as well as driver of Ike and Tina's Cadillac. After a string of singles on Sue, Sputnik, Sonja and Mirwood (including Northern Soul classic 'Where There's a Will' on the latter label) he relocated to the U.
