About Jimmy Evans

(1).Jimmy Evans was former bass player for Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks 1958-1960. He can be found playing on Ronnies debut album "Meet Ronnie Hawkins" and also on "Mr.Dynamo". Jimmy also worked with Conway Twitty from 1956-1958 and appears on all of Conways "Mercury" recordings. Jimmy wrote Conways'"Why can't I get through to you". He has also written songs for Johnny Rivers and Jerry Lee Lewis. Jimmy also appears on Mack Selfs' earlier SUN/Phillips recordings of "Mad at You" and "Mexican Limbo".
