About Jenny Sturgeon
Jenny Sturgeon is a Scottish singer-songwriter from north-east Scotland. Her music combines traditional folk song with new compositions while her lyrics come from folklore, historical events and personal experience as a biologist. As well as solo work, Sturgeon regularly plays as a duo with Jonny Hardie (Old Blind Dogs, Clype) on guitar and fiddle and also in a line up with Hardie, Davy Cattanach (Catford, Old Blind Dogs, Up in the Air) on percussion and Grant Anderson (Brothers Reid) on double bass.
