Jellowaste is Synthpunk directly influenced by ildjarn's minimalism (sludgeplant written to have a similar bassline/drumming to "Interchange" on strength &anger) + rudimentary peni's punk + demilich's atonalism + the phantom limbs synths also big influences: anal kitties, throbbing gristle, the first godflesh album. In jellowaste's words "I was sick of bad music being disguised as good music, like in bands like Cradle of Filth. So I made good music
