
About Jean Rondeau
French harpsichordist Jean Rondeau trained at the Paris Conservatoire, where he studied harpsichord with Olivier Baumont, Blandine Rannou, and Kenneth Weiss, and at the Guildhall School of Music in London, where he studied with Christophe Rousset. Rondeau won first prize at the Bruges International Harpsichord Competition at 21 (he played with “a virtuosity that allows him to dash off lightning appoggiaturas, phrasing that nourishes and refreshes the drama
