About Janaka Selekta
RIDDIM SELECKTA: In a city overflowing with talented DJs, Janaka’s skills were recognized by the San Francisco community in 2004 when he received the Reader’s Poll Award for Best DJ (SF Guardian). Bringing a dancer’s sensibility to the decks, Janaka deconstructs each track merging and beat juggling parts to build crescendoes and diminuendoes. Constantly working the tracks and the mixer to make any dancefloor bounce. His unique sound weaves original songs and homemade bootlegs with floor stomping tracks from around the planet.
