1) James Harding is a Melbourne born singer/songwriter. He fronts a band called The Barmaids and plays bass for The Gear. His music ranges from rocky driving music to acoustic. 2) James Harding (born ca. 1560 - 1626) was an English composer. Musician in Ordinary on the flutes 1581-1625. Two keyboard fantasias, possibly arrangements, in a British Museum MS; a setting by William Byrd of a 'Gagliarda' in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book. Galiard by 'Mr. James' in Berlin, Staatsbiblioteket.
