About Jakob Friedrich Kleinknecht

Jakob Friedrich Kleinknecht (baptised 8 April 1722 in Ulm; died 11 August 1794 in Ansbach) was a German violinist and composer who emerged from the same Ulm musical household as his elder brothers Johann Wolfgang Kleinknecht and Johann Stephan Kleinknecht. He was the son of Johannes Jakob Kleinknecht, a prominent Ulm musician, and represents the generation in which the Kleinknecht family achieved its widest courtly reach beyond Swabia. Early training took place within the family before Jakob Friedrich entered professional court service.
