About Jake Hess
Jake Hess was the epitome of a lead singer in a gospel quartet. Born near Haleyville, Alabama, Jake dreamed of leaving the cotton fields and making his lilving singing in an all male quartet. He sang with the Melody Masters and later the Statesmen Quartet with Hovie Lister.
