Joey Negro is the most known pseudonym of British DJ and house music producer Dave Lee. Lee was one of the first to incorporate disco samples into house when he started producing in 1991. Since then, Joey Negro has become one of the most sought-after producers and remixers, and has worked under a variety of aliases, including Doug Willis, Z Factor, Sessomato and Raven Maize. He has achieved more mainstream success under the name Jakatta. It was under this moniker that he released the single American Dream
