About Jaimie Branch
Jaimie Breezy Branch (17 June 1983 - 22 August 2022) was an American trumpetist and electrician in jazz and improvisational music. Branch was raised in Red Hook, Brooklyn and at nine years old she started playing the trumpet. At 14 years old she moved to Wilmette, a suburb of Chicago, before attending the New England Conservatory of Music (completed in 2005). Later she moved back to Chicago, working as a musician, organizer and sound engineer in the local music environment
