About Jack Scott
Jack Scott (born Giovanni Domenico Scafone, Jr. on 24 January 1936; died 12 December 2019) was a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. He was inducted into Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011. Scott was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and raised in Detroit, an Italian hillbilly who worshipped Hank Williams, and became a rock and roll star. His first album, entitled Jack Scott. One of the first album recorded in stereo, it contained a mixture of rockabilly and ballads of which 10 were Scott's own compositions.
