About Irina Emeliantseva
Irina Emeliantseva (Russian: Ирина Емельянцева) (born 26 October 1971 in Seltso, Bryansk Oblast, Russia) is a Russian composer and pianist. She studied piano at a music college in her home town. She won the regional piano competition for best interpretation of Prokofiev's works. She studied composition (under Prof. Sergei Slonimsky) and piano (under Eismon) at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory. In the final years of her studies she worked as Prof. Slonimsky's assistant. She graduated in 1999.
