
About Ippolito Tartaglino
Ippolito Tartaglino (Modena, c.1539 - Naples, c.1582) Was an Italian composer and organist. There is little information available on the life of the Tartaglino. It is known that he was choirmaster at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, succeeding Giovanni Maria Nanino, and organist of the Basilica of San Pietro in the Vatican. He then moved to Naples where he was organist at the Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata Maggiore.
