About Indubala Devi
Indubala was born to Motilal Bose, owner of Bose's Circus and Rajabala, a trapeze artiste in the same circus at Amritsar, Punjab, India in November,1899.With Motilal losing interest in her mother, Indubala was brought to Calcutta by her mother, Rajabala, who took up the oldest profession in the world to survive. Indu was trained in music by renowned musicians of the day including Gaurisankar Misra, Jamiruddin Khan, Elahi Bux and Miss Gauhar Jan. She
