About Ido Govrin
The excellent Interval label continues its winning run with this new album from composer Ido Govrin, who co-runs the imprint. The title, Moraine, refers to the pummelled and granulated bedrock that resides beneath a glacier. Govrin invites parallels between this and the obliterating digital resynthesis techniques he uses in the making of his album, which take acoustic instrumentation like cello and violin and shatter them into atomised gusts of sound.
