Ichiro Toba (鳥羽一郎, real name Yoshihira Kimura/木村嘉平) is an enka singer born 25 April 1952 in Toba, Mie, Japan. Toba debuted in August 1982 with the single “兄弟船" (kyōdai -bune, brother boats), produced by his mentor Toru Funamura. The song reached no. 66 in the year-end charts and led to his NHK Kohaku Uta‑gassen debut in 1985, kicking off roughly 20 appearances in total. Toba is signed with Nippon Crown and has been active continuously since his debut.
