The 3 members joined up through an ad posted in FFWD Magazine's Classified ads for 'musicians wanted'. Matthew had placed it looking to start a band nfluenced by Black Sabbath, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Tool, Beaver and Corrosion of Conformity. After playing together a few times, the three pressed on playing various cover songs by the aforementioned bands.
