
About Huojuva lato
Huojuva Lato is a roots-influenced band from North Karelia, Finland, blending elements of American folk, country, and country rock with Finnish-language storytelling lyrics. The group was formed in 2008 by singer-songwriter Suonna Kononen, and later joined by Ilkka Vartiainen, Yrjö Vähäkallio, and drummer Jarkko Pohjolainen. Their debut single “Hullu suomenhevonen” (“Crazy Finnhorse”) was released in 2008, followed by the full-length album Lähde länteen! (“Go West!”) in 2010 via Pilfink Records.
