Early musical influences as a kid were his parents' love of SWING, BIG-BAND, MOVIE-MUSICALS, THE BEATLES, THE SEEKERS and other golden oldies like SINATRA. "HP" has been a writer of one kind or another all his life, dabbling in short stories, alternative history and poetry. The writing morphed to composing and lyrics, and became integral to the other creative areas of his life. A gardener, a maker, a thinker, a poet... " things must grow from a seed, into plants, or into song" so he says.
