Horrorcomic was for all intents and purposes a "fake" punk band. Horrorcomic began life as Crackers, and they entered and appeared on Opportunity Knocks. Rumors persist that the band all worked for Lightning Records, although there's no mention of this in the liner notes to the England '77 compilation, which is full of R&B/rock. Horrorcomic debuted with the single "I'm All Hung Up On Pierrepoint" in August 1977. Single No. 2 I Don't Mind, released a year later
