HIROSAWA Torazo (広沢虎造) Hirosawa Torazo (born 1899, died 1964) is a legendary Rokyoku singer and movie actor. Rokyoku (also called Naniwabushi) is an early theatrical (Yose) performance from 19th century Japan. A Rokyoku performer sings and tells stories using a Shamisen. Hirosawa Torazo revolutionized Rokyoku by refining the style for radio and records. His best known peice is Shimizu Jirocho Den.
