About Henkie
Henk Leeuwis, better known by his stage name Henkie, was a Dutch singer from Elst who became a minor folk sensation in the mid-2000s. He originally worked as a driving instructor and only later turned to music. In 2006 he unexpectedly scored a summer hit in both the Netherlands and Flanders with the cheerful novelty song Lief klein konijntje, translated as Sweet Little Bunny. The track earned him widespread recognition and cemented his place in Dutch popular culture.
