Helms were a dynamic three-piece band from the Cape Cod, MA area, founded in 1997. The band consists of Tina (Helms) McCarthy (bass), her husband, Sean McCarthy (guitar/vocals), and his brother, Dan McCarthy (drums). Helms' music is a pensive assemblage of indie and post-rock elements strung together in long sequences of dynamic and temporal variation.
