Heavy Pettin' is a heavy metal band formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1981. History: Formed in 1981 from the ashes of the Glasgow band "Weeper," a band formed in 1975, by drummer Gary Moat, guitarist Gordon Bonnar and bassist Brian Waugh, Heavy Pettin' debuted at a support concert for the band Cuban Heels at the Virgin Megastore of Glasgow. The name was inspired by the UFO record No Heavy Petting of 1976. The first demo of the band was released in 1981
