About HD Substance
HD Substance (aka Luis Rozalén) has been exposed to electronic music since the late eighties. He bought his first synthesizer in 1987 and formed a band called Ballet Mecánico, heavily influenced by electronic pop music. Travelling to london he discovered acid house and the band LFO. Then he visited Detroit and came to know UR and Transmat. Heavily shocked, he decided to start his career as a DJ after seeing Kenny Larkin on the first Sonar Festival in 1995.
