About Harry Palmer
"Benton Lad" Harry Palmer, is a small-time busker who used to play at pubs and clubs before Newcastle United home games at St. James' Park. His music mostly consisted of popular chants mixed with simple, but effective guitar chords. His most famous song to date is probably 'The Andy Cole Song' which combined the popular Gallowgate chant with the tune of Boney M's 'Hooray! Hooray!' Harry was influenced in his songs by former Newcastle United greats Malcolm MacDonald, Jimmy Smith, Kevin Keegan, Andy Cole, Micky Burns and Alan Gowling.
