Harpaxe is the alter ego of Scottish hymn writer John David Coupland who uses his creation to explore the world of instrumental music. With over 40 years of composing behind him he still finds new ways to create charming and graceful music. He is influenced by The Shadows, the Beatles and by traditional Scottish folk music. The Year Album by Harpaxe combines a neo sixties format and sound of clean electric guitar, acoustic 12 string, strings, bass and drums, with the compositional techniques of the great classical composers.

Oh Lord we come into this place.
Flight of the Swallow
The Little Oystercatcher
Hush the Nightingale Sings
Be thou my vision
2 wit 2 woo
The Sparrow Falls
What a friend we have in Jesus
High King of Heaven
The Lonely Robin
The Magpie
Dance of the Pied Wagtail
Grace of the Swan
To God be the glory
Sparrowhawk a hunting go
Songs from the Mountain Top
Holy, holy, holy
Oh Jesus, I have promised
Out of the Darkness
Abide with me, I heard the voice, Guide me oh thou great Jehovah
Come to the Seat of Mercy
The Black King Falls
There is a green hill far away
Did God really say?
The Lord is my Shepherd
Holy, holy, holy. Crown him with many crowns, Who would true valour see, Dear Lord and Father
In the bleak mid-winter
The day thou gavest, Lord
O Jesus I have promised, Praise my soul, O for a thousand tongues
Oh Lord we come
The People are Hungry
Jesus lead me
Abide with me
There is a green hill, the Church's one foundation, When I survey
In the bleak mid winter, I will sing the wondrous story, Love divine
To God be the glory, Amazing grace, Christ is made the sure foundation
Oh worship the King
The day thou gavest, the Lord's my shepherd
