About Hanover Band
The Hanover Band is a British period-instrument orchestra, widely acclaimed as one of the leading period-instrument orchestras in the world. Formed by the cellist Caroline Brown in 1979. The band's performances and recording center on 18th and 19th century music. Its principal and guest conductors and directors include Monica Huggett, Sir Charles Mackerras, Roy Goodman, Anthony Halstead, Nicholas McGegan, Richard Egarr, Nicholas Kraemer, Graham Lea-Cox, Jeffrey Skidmore and Adrian Butterfield.
