Hammemit is a ritual/neo-medieval ambient project from Somerset, United Kingdom, created by Malachi Michael (now Michael Morthwork). It is the most recent phase, or rather the natural evolution, of Emit. The birth pangs of Hammemit in 2008 reflects the musical development of Morthwork's vision, from very raw and noisy beginnings to a more subtle, ambient-oriented sound (the first track to be associated with the Hammemit name being 'Leading Light Of Errant Children' from the 'Abortions' compilation
