About Gwei-lo
Gwei-Lo were an English post-rock band from Cambridge, consisting of guitarist Al Brooker, keyboard player Dave Henson, bassist Gav Johnson and drummer Jez Spencer. The group released two CDs, an EP and an album, confusingly both titled Gwei-Lo, but containing no common tracks. Aged 24, Brooker suffered a heart-attack while performing at Strawberry Fair in Cambridge on June 3, 2000, a month before the release of the album. His solo "Quixotic" album was released posthumously.
