About Guyon Waton
Guyon Waton is a popular Javanese musical group known for their acoustic renditions of dangdut songs in the Javanese language. The group originates from the Kulon Progo area in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and was formed in 2015. Initially, Guyon Waton was formed by a group of teenagers who gathered every night in front of a meatball stall to sing together. Their singing sessions were recorded on mobile phones and later uploaded to social media for personal documentation.
