Gurnemanz were a progressive folk band from the Rhineland area. They were founded in 1972. Their music featured lute, flute, sitar, and similar instruments and had a medieval style underpinning it. In 1975 they released their LP “Spielmannskinder” and in 1977 “No rays of noise”. Before the band already had released three reel-to-reel tapes: “Fair Margaret and sweet William” (1972), “Liaze” (1973), and “Sisu” (1974) each of them lasting 45 min.
