About Grenzkontrolle
GRENZKONTROLLE ("border control") is a German NDW/New Wave/Post Punk band from Cologne. In 2020, a then 22-year-old quoted the words of his role model Fred Hampton in an agitated voice: "We don't think you fight fire with fire best." The whole thing took place at a Black Lives Matter demonstration on Berlin's Alexanderplatz. In 2025, Gaspár Ali, now 27, stood in front of a postcard-style castle and shouted, "I can only respond to hate with hate.
