About Giovanni Battista Borghi

Giovanni Battista Borghi (Camerino , August 25 1738 - Loreto , February 25 1796) was an Italian composer. He received his musical training from 1757 to 1759 at the Conservatorio della Pietà dei Turchini of Naples . Later he served as Kapellmeister from 13 September 1759 and 15 January 1778 at Cattadrele of Orvieto and from 1778 until his death at the Holy House of Loreto , so going to the theorist and composer Andrea Basili . In addition, since 1759 he was frequently traveling to represent their works in Venice
