About Gillian Whitehead
Gillian Whitehead is a prominent New Zealand composer, born in 1941 in Hamilton. She studied under Peter Maxwell Davies and has subsequently produced a variety of music from solo to orchestral works. Particularly notable are her opera Outrageous Fortune and her collaborations with taonga puoro virtuoso Richard Nunns.
