About Gerard Butler
Gerard James "Gerry" Butler (born November 13, 1969) is a Scottish actor and singer. In 2004 he performed the role of The Phantom for Joel Schumacher's movie version of The Phantom of The Opera, which explains his presence on last.fm. Despite many POTO fans' loyalty towards Michael Crawford (the original 1987 Phantom) fans embraced Butler's intense performance and the actor is said to possess the "rock star voice" that Andrew Lloyd Webber had always intended for The Phantom.
