About George Freeman
George Freeman (born on 10 April 1927; died 1 April 2025) was an American jazz guitarist remembered for his sophisticated technique, his collaborations with high-profile performers, and his notable presence in the jazz scene of Chicago, Ill. Younger brother of tenor saxophonist Von Freeman and drummer Eldridge "Bruz" Freeman, he was uncle of tenor saxophonist and trumpeter Chico Freeman. His debut album featured saxophonist Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre
