About Genf
GENF existed from 1996 to 1997. they were founded in cologne to update the analogue traditions of krautrock with digital sounds and some sexy funk. genf were efficient: in the little over a year of their existence they released 3 records with different approaches. in january 1997 the vinyl-ep "rohgenf" on cologne's "finlayson tonträger" with rough 4-track-recordings from their rehearsel space capturing the live sound of genf. (vip-schaukel). april 1997 followed the cd "import/export" on the munich based label "compost records".
