Most well-known for their work with the folk-rock band Steeleye Span (and in Terry's case, Sweeney's Men), Gay and Terry were a married folk duo (now separated), originally from Dublin. As a duo, they released four albums between 1974 and 1978 (Backwoods (1974), The Time Is Right (1973), Renowned (1976), and Tenderhooks (1978)), as well as a compilation of live recordings (Gay and Terry Woods In Concert) in 1995.
