
Gabriele is the first Italian composer who has been awarded with the Japan Academy Prize, the most prestigious prize in Japan for a film music composer. He has been recently nominated again for the Japan Academy Prize thanks to his last work, the score for the fantasy movie by Director Tetsuya Nakashima entitled "Paco and the Magical Picture Book". In 2001 he completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Composition at the Royal College of music in London studying with Joseph Horovitz.
