About Funkanetics
Back in the day, when they were young, they were in college, and they studied jazz and music theory. Never content to just accept knowledge, Randy Garcia and Mic Mell immediately put together a project to put their new understanding of music into practice, and Funkanetics was born. Most of the music on Street Themes was written as stream-of consciousness, and All In A Day’s Work was recorded live as it was conceived. Moving through drummers and gigging relentlessly for about a year and a half, the project has been dormant since 2001.
