Frei.Wild (pronounced FRY-vilt; "Frei" means "free" and "Wild" means "wild") is an Italian rock band from Brixen, South Tyrol, Italy. The band’s members belong to the German-speaking population of South Tyrol, and their songs are primarily in German. The band was founded in September 2001 by Philipp Burger (vocals, guitar) and Jonas Notdurfter (guitar), with Jochen Gargitter (bass) and Christian Fohrer (drums) joining shortly thereafter. Early in their career, Frei.
