About Freddie Hughes
Fred Willie Hughes Jr. (Berkeley, California, August 20, 1943) is an American soul singer. He recorded just a few records for Wee Records and Wand Records in 1968, a.o. "Send My Baby Back". He is often confused (even some discographies can't distinguish them) with Fred Henry Hughes an American soul and funk singer, songwriter and producer, born in Arkansas, but moved to Compton, California. He recorded some records for Vee Jay Records, Brunswick and other labels in the 1960s.
