About Fred Ocean
Fred Ocean is an Ivorian music producer who was born in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. From a young age, he was drawn to electronic music, which set him apart in a local culture dominated by genres like coupé décalé, zouglou, and hip-hop. This passion led him to be considered an outsider by some. His professional music career began in 2021. He initially found inspiration in popular electronic dance artists like Kygo, Dani Corbalan, Ali Bakgor, and The Chainsmokers.
