Fraughman emerged in Newcastle's mid-90s band scene, quickly gaining a reputation for chaotic, experimental noise performances. Initially a group, it eventually became the solo project of Steve Stuart, who blended hardcore, breakbeats, and noise with harsh feedback and raw, unpolished distortion. Stuart was a key figure in the Australian hardcore and breakcore scene, he was almost the puzzle piece connecting it all. In addition to notable appearances on Bloody Fist Records and System Corrupt
