
About Frankie Gavin
Frankie Gavin (born 1956) is an Irish fiddle and flute player, from Corrandulla, County Galway. He is a founding member of the Irish traditional group De Dannan. He is known for playing in the fast and virtuosic Galway regional style. Gavin has recorded and played with many of the best traditional musicians of his generation, and he has recorded many side-projects, including work with Elvis Costello, The Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, Yehudi Menuhin, Stéphane Grappelli and Earl Scruggs.
