Francis Pugh and the Whisky Singers formed with the purpose of singing about and drinking fine whisky and have succeeded in both respects. They are an acoustic 6 piece, blending Americana, country, folk and roots music, taking inspiration from artists such as Tom Russell, Gillian Welch, The Punch Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show and the Band as well as older bluegrass artists such as The Stanley Brothers and Bill Monroe.
