About Francesco Milleville
Francesco Milleville, belonging to the (lineage of musicians) Milleville (Ferrara, 1565 - Arezzo, [...?]) Was an Italian composer of French origin, was the grandson of Jean and son of Alessandro, both musicians. He was a musician for the King of Poland, then served in the service of Emperor Rudolf II , returning to Italy in 1612, and later was a chapel master in Volterra and Chioggia. The date of his death is unknown, but it is known that in 1639 he was still alive. He is noted as the teacher of Girolamo Frescobaldi.
